Monthly Contest

Details...
Every month we will choose the person that submitted the currently highest ranking code and the person that has posted the most approved reviews. These people will each be awarded a percentage of the website earnings as contest winnings, currently only payable through paypal.com (as of 03/03/2007).

To win the most approved reviews contest: You must be the user that has submitted the most code reviews that have been approved in the past 28-31 days. If a review does not reflect any aspect of the code it will not be approved.

To win the highest rated code contest: You must be the user that has submitted the highest rated code. The code does not have to have been submitted within the past month, it can be posted anytime. The only votes that are counted towards this contest are votes that have been posted within the last 28-31 days.

In case of a tie of rank between two code submissions, the code with more votes will be declared the winner. If the votes are also even, the winner will be the code submission that has received more hits. If the codes are also tied for page views, then the winnings will be split evenly among the tying code submissions.

If there are two or more users that have both tied for submitting the most approved reviews, then the winnings will be split amonth them.

Winner Notification. Once the month is over and the contest winners have been chosen, those users will be notified via e-mail of their status as a monthly winner. If that user does not have a current paypal e-mail address listed in their members area, then we will request that information from them via e-mail as well. We will send up to three e-mails on separate days requesting a response, if those three e-mails go unanswered, and a week has passed since the first was sent, the winnings will roll over to the next month.
